Wilson's is a nice outdoor venue for a low-key wedding, especially with its rustic barn for the reception area. The only drawback is the bathrooms which are located in a small room on wheels. There is no way a bride, bridesmaid, most other female guests could comfortably use the facilities in a long, or full dress. Aside from the bathroom issue, it is a lovely site.

I have been going to El Novillero for over 10 years now and it is simply the BEST mexican food I have ever had. All of our family birthday dinners are held here because we just can't get enough of it. Love Mike, he was always very nice to my grandmother when her and her friends came for lunch. Great food and great staff!

With my personal experience I found this venue to be overrated and their service average. I didn't even bother with it in my wedding planning process. When my sister got married two years ago I accompanied her to the club for a consultation and felt as though they were very vague. For example, at the time, they required her to work with particular vendors, for example, the florist, however you couldn't talk with the florist or see her work at the time of the consultation, only after you had secured your date with them and put down your deposit. I don't understand how you can expect people to secure your location and not offer them access to your exclusive professionals before booking.

The reception are here is very nice and has it's own unique charm, however their ceremony site is awful! It's located inbetween two brick buildings and is in the middle of a field. There is absolutely no presence to the space. Not to mention your guests will have to walk through a warehouse to get to it! This place has potential, but until they improve their ceremony site (and the pathway to it) I wouldn't bother.

Catta Verdera is absolutely STUNNING! My mother and I scouted over 20 locations in the region from Amador to Lodi to Sacramento, we went everywhere! When we came across Catta Verdera I knew that this was the place. They're venue is simply a cut above the rest. They have every little detail covered and offer a variety of services for FREE! (such as printing your escort cards, centerpieces, parasols for your guests, Menu display on an easel, as well as a variety of ceremony decorations such as shepard hooks and unity candle holders) Leslie and her staff are very professional and well organized. They have it all covered and I have absolute confidence in them. I could go on and on about the wonderful aspects of Catta Verdera, if you're getting married you should definitely check this place out. I've recommended it to everyone I know.

I was not impressed with Shannon's professionalism, or lack there of. I've seen her work and thought it was amazing however when I met with her to discuss my wedding I don't feel as though she listened to my vision and felt as though she tried to push my in another direction. She said she would e-mail me a quote within a few days and after a week of not hearing anything I e-mailed her. She e-mailed me back a quote (which was dated that day although she claims to have sent it a week ago) and it was not at all what we had talked about. You could tell she just threw something together based on the colors we had talked about. I was very disappointed and feel that while she may be creative, she lacks professionalism.

Ever since highschool I have wanted Chris to do my wedding photos. I was ecstatic when he was available for my wedding this summer. He has a great reputation and his previous work is amazing! He is also one of the only big names in photo in the area that has kept his prices reasonable. He and his staff truly understand the meaning of customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Excellent photographer. Bruce does GREAT work, I've used him on several different occassions. His prices are also very affordable! Highly recommend.

Personally, my family had a horrible experience with Rebecca. She did my sister's wedding several years ago and the pictures were average at best. There were pictures where my father's tie was crooked or part of his collar was laying on top of his jacket's lapel. There were also pictures where beams and other objects looked as though they were pertruding from people's heads. I think she was flustered by the large wedding party of 20 people. She was also very rude and bossy and short with my parents who were paying her tab! Very unprofessional.

Personally, I was not impressed with Shelton's and I was surprised considering their reputation. When I met with the owner for a consultation for my wedding he did not allow me to explore my creative side and basically shot down every idea I had for my cake saying that his wife couldn't do that because if it wasn't done right it would look bad so therefore she wouldn't try it. Obviously I don't want someone to not be confident in the cake they are designing but I feel like Shelton's is not very creative in their designs. They basically have a bunch of showroom cakes in their office and you pick the one you want. Personally, I don't want a cookie cutter wedding with a cake that hundreds of brides in the area have already used. If you're looking for a cake with flair and presence, I would suggest another shop.

Highly recommended. I've lived in Elk Grove my whole life and my family has always boughten cakes from Village Cake Shoppe for special events. Patrick is truly talented and so creative! He can do anything and does it to perfection. You can design your own cake and he will make it happen. Not to mention the cakes are delicious! Highly recommend.

Let me just preface this by saying that I love Steve! He did my sister's wedding several years ago and when I got engaged I knew that I had to have him. I've been to lots of weddings where the entertainment was average or even a little bit hokey but Steve is very entertaining. He really gets everyone involved and out on the dancefloor. All 200+ guests were out on the dance floor having a great time. Great entertainment is what makes your big day so memorable and Steve is the man for the job. I can't wait for him to do my wedding this year!

I was very disappointed with this store. Their selection is very limited and to be completely honest, I thought a lot of their dresses were just plain weird. I understand that some brides prefer a cutting edge dress versus a more traditional style, but their dresses were just ridiculous in my opinion.

I personally had a bad experience with HOF. I made an appointment weeks in advance to try on gowns and when I got there I had to share my appointment with 2 other brides! Needless to say I did not get very much attention from my consultant, and didn't even get to try on all of the dresses that I wanted to. I told her that I loved Maggie Sottero and she pointed me to a room filled with her designs but then told me I could try those dresses on next time. Personally, I think this store is overrated and the dresses they carry are average.

This store has great items and Debbie is amazing! She remembers clientele and is always so helpful and nice! When she left another scrapbook store my mother and I followed her to this one because her knowledge and service is outstanding! The store's organization is also nice as it's sorted by theme, making it easy to find just what you are looking for.
