Carmelita’s was established in 1962 by Mr. Alberto C. Heredia and his wife Carmen G. Heredia at its present and original location, 204 Riverside Ave., Roseville, CA. Since then, Carmelita’s has served the finest Mexican food in the area. In 1985 Clemente Heredia and his wife Rosalba Heredia bought his parent’s business and continued the fine food tradition started by his parents. In 1987 Carmelita’s expanded to another location in Fair Oaks, CA with outdoor patios and a full bar. Carmelita’s is well known for its Mexican style seafood that started in Roseville in 1986.
I've been eating here for 15 years and they have THE BEST chili rellanos I have EVER had - they have a really unique sauce for their enchildas and everyone is like family to us.
We love the Fair Oaks location and eat dinner there often. They offer delicious food (especially the green sauce chicken enchiladas), wonderful service, beautiful decor and amazing margaritas! The best.
I love Mexican food and we go everywhere for it... but Carmelita's has THE BEST tacos. The shell couldn't be more perfect! Outdoor seating at it's best!
My wife and go out to lunch real often.We go to camelitas in FairOaks approx.three times a month .We find it the best Mexican restaurant we have eaten at. I love their taco salad..
1. Best chorizo burrito anywhere.
2. There is always a generous helping of tequila in the margaritas. Makes the margaritas at any other restaurant taste like wine coolers.
3. Great music on Fridays.
We've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for a long time - we read reviews of Carmelitas (the Roseville one) - tried it and the Margaritas - AWESOME - they are just the way they should be and the chimichangas - amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
